Currently the police department is seeking grants to purchase a small patrol boat, which will be primarily used for quick response search and rescue. One average there are 3 to 4 times a year, where the police department has been requested to assist persons in need of help on the water. This is not including the many requests of stranded boaters on the lake.

Chief Paschall would like to remind all residents to take advantage of the House/Vacation request provided on this web site. So far about 20 residents have placed requests. This allows officers to have prior knowledge as to who should or should not be at the residents, while homeowners are away.
